Mission

The mission of Southern Rock Society is to promote the
bands and the music they play to keep our style of music
available and have listeners growing in numbers for
generations to come.

This will be accomplished by increasing the fan base, and
following for all Southern Rock bands through
participating in music related events, establishing
Southern Rock events, and maintaining a steady supply of
participating venues welcoming Southern Rock bands to
play their music, as well as welcome SRS members to
see and hear their favorite performers.

Our dear friend and Southern Rock Legend, George McCorkle passed away on June 29th, 2007

We will dearly miss you Brother.  We will offer details on the Benefit shows being planned as soon as they are available.

4th Annual Jam-A-Que

The Jam-A-Que was a great success!!  There were about 100 Southern Rockers in attendance and 469 of you that watched it live via webcam... With guests like JoJo Billingsley (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Gary Allen (Charlie Daniels and JJ Cale), Jane Van Zant, and others, was a really great show.  Folks got to hang out with Southern Rock Legends, Enjoy Live music all day, Enjoy Great BBQ, and even get up and Jam with the legends if you wanted.  We gave away a ton of gifts and prizes.  A great time was had by all.  The only down spot was that George McCorkle was in the Hospital and could not attend.  Next years Jam-A-Que is already scheduled for Saturday May 17th... So Start planning now.
