Here ye, here ye, we are back, we have returned, from what just may be the best music cruise to-date. Sixthman, out of Atlanta, GA, put together an all-star cast that came to play and party like rock stars, as well as friends; and that is what it felt like. Here is a link to Sixthman TV, for a few bits of info > Here man!
For the Southern Rock Society crew, well, we got up Thursday (Jan 22nd) and drove from Fort Lauderdale to Tampa, in plenty of time to get on board the Carnival ship "Inspiration". Being our forth trip, we knew the drill, and quickly got to the heart of the matter - Southern Rock music and began to Partaay! The ship departed Tampa, FL and headed to Cozumel, Mexico. During the 38 hour run, may bands performed including Lynyrd Skynyrd. The five headliner bands - Blackberry Smoke, The Outlaws, .38 Special, Molly Hatchet, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, all played their "A" game and showed why this is the best genre of music, and why we have the most loyal fans. The host of additoinal bands on board can be read about at the Sixthman web-site, and do deserve a good review.... All the bands on board performed at their highest level, and represented Southern Rock and Sixthman well.I hardly remember Cozumel, except that I did have a real Mexican taco, a real Mexican beer, and real Tequilia (in the morning, of course!), and headed back on the ship to continue the multi-day extravaganza! I saw many friends from the recent trips and events, as well as finally meeting, in-person, some special people that I have only had internet/telephone contact with; and that was quite special for me.The next cruise will be announced soon.... stay tuned....Rock On!WolfgangThe Southern Rock Society
